What it is
DevHunt is an open-source launchpad only for developer tools. Each week a new batch launches on the home page, and developers vote after signing in with GitHub or Google.
Who it is best for
APIs, CLIs, libraries, dev infrastructure and other tools whose users are developers. Other kinds of products are not accepted.
How to submit
- Sign in and submit your tool with its name, website, description, logo and screenshots.
- Free tools are given a launch week from the queue.
- Or pay $49 once to choose any week, get a home page spotlight and a dofollow link.
- During the week, developers vote; the winners go into the weekly newsletter and get a badge.

| Option | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|

| Paid launch | $49 once | Choose your week, home page spotlight, permanent dofollow link |

Dofollow or nofollow?
DevHunt's FAQ: "Links on free listings are nofollow; paid launches get a permanent dofollow link."
Our check, 2026-09-30: No nofollow on 2 of 6 listings sampled; 4 carried nofollow. Example we checked: devhunt.org/tool/formo-analytics. We read the rel attribute on the link to the maker's own site; a link without nofollow or ugc passes ranking signals, while nofollow and ugc ask search engines not to.
Tips
- Votes require a GitHub or Google sign-in, which DevHunt says keeps them from real people.
- The homepage shows a domain rating of 65 attributed to Ahrefs, and 466,343 unique visitors since launch. Self-reported.
